Happening This Week (June 13-19, 2011)

  • Monday, 6/13: MIHO Gastrotruck also has their birthday. They will be at Blind Lady Ale House serving up their food. The first 50 MIHO customers will get a keeper pint.
  • Monday, 6/13: Every Monday at Sea Rocket Bistro, they will have their grass fed beef burger for only $10.
  • Tuesday, 6/14: Automatic Tanzanian Devil will be on cask at Blind Lady Ale House for $5.50.
  • Wednesday, 6/15, 10am-1pm: Continuing MIHO’s busy anniversary week, they will be at Alesmith Brewing at 368 Cabot Drive, serving waffle-battered chicken with syrup made with Speedway Stout. Umm, yes please!
  • Wednesday, 6/15, 11:30am: BLAH will be open for lunch and will be featuring their very own mini sour fest. There will be flights and full servings of the beer.
  • Wednesday, 6/15, 4-7pm: And if you want MIHO for dinner, they will be at Ballast Point/Home Brew Mart in Linda Vista, serving coconut curry ribs using BP’s curry stout.
  • Wednesday, 6/15, evening: DrinkAbout bus is also going on!
  • Friday, 6/17, 5:30-8:30pm: If you missed MIHO’s keeper pints at BLAH on Monday, come to Whistle Stop and get another chance to grab one. Keeper pints with MIHO’s logo will go to the first 50 customers.
  • Friday, 6/17, 8pm: So Say We All Story Slam: “I Told You Not to Bring That!” will be going on at Space 4 Art on 15th Street. $5. RSVP on Facebook.
  • Saturday, 6/18, 11am-2pm: Live cooking demo with MIHO chefs at Williams-Sonoma in the Fashion Valley mall.
  • Sunday, 6/19: BLAH is celebrating Father’s Day with the Blind IPA Challenge yet again. Buy the flight, drink the beer, guess which is which, and hopefully you may win a prize!
  • Sunday, 6/19, 12-7pm: San Diego Food Truck Festival on Cushing Road, with 19 trucks participating. (On a side note, MAN, some of those trucks’ logos are bad…) Buy tickets now! $10+fee for general, $20+fee for VIP.
  • Sunday, 6/19, 7pm: Sea Rocket Bistro will be screening a film called Kings of Pastry, a “poignant and hilarious… documentary [following] France’s most famous pastry chefs.” Screening is limited to 25 people, so RSVP on Facebook.
